Dental Crowns

Brampton Dental Office creating Porcelain Dental Crowns A dental crown (or Cap) is a cover that can be placed over an existing prepared tooth to create a smoother, cleaner look and to enhance durability. Crowns give our dentists the ability to control the color, shape and position of a tooth. Multiple crowns can make all teeth the same beautiful color to compliment a new "Hollywood" smile. It is important to deal with the gums as well as the crowns of teeth when wishing to create an aesthetic result. Our office has completed the Stars of a TV Series call "Rags to Red Carpet" that has recently aired on Cosmo. We have created many outstanding results for many patients over the years. Our Newsletter "The Smile Files" also features some of our cases.

When a tooth is fractured, has a large filling, had root canal treatment, or is severely damaged by decay, the placement of a crown is usually recommended. Crowns can protect the remaining tooth structure and can improve the appearance of your smile. Crown technology has improved over the years and today's well-constructed crowns look and function like natural teeth.
Our office uses crowns that have a tooth coloured hard base (no shiny metal) covered with matching porcelain. These crowns are made by computer aided design and milling techniques. They are accurate and do not have a black metal collar like most porcelain fused to metal crowns. They are strong, beautiful and lifelike.
